Not 100% sure if these pegs go on the same as mine, but I have fold-up chrome pegs on my bike, and they attach directly to the frame with a u-bolt. The hardware shown in the picture may clamp on in the same place. I'm a little shorter than you at 5'7, but they work fine for me.
